| Pinin Farina produced four very special Coupe designs, all ultimately similar and very much in the same vein as their exclusive 410 Superamerica debuted concurrently at the Paris Salon. These four vehicles all rode Tipo 513 chassiss that featured some additional strengthening and bracing, they were also the first 250 GT's to incorporate Tipo 128 engines. Pinin Farina lowered the wings, used a distinctive crease to add substance and fitted a prominent hood mounted engine vent to lend a little more aggression. Overall, the silhouette was a little more delicate than the standard Coupe and pointed the way for Pinin Farina designs over the next few years. Interiors, whilst by no means identical, all retained a similar style, layout and level of trimming to the production 250 GT's with only detail differences really apparent. One additional example was also subsequently built to a unique specification, chassis 0627 GT having been delivered in February 1957 as a regular Boano-built 250 GT. However, it had returned to the Ferrari factory in 1958 and when Luigi Chinetti was told there would not be a California Spyder available for his wealthy American client, he had 0627 GT re-bodied by Scaglietti and re-sold it as a new car!
