Although Grand Am's showpiece Daytona 24 Hour race attracted entries from Risi and JMB, it was Ferrari of Washington that were left to uphold Maranello's honour for the rest of the season. Together, Cort Wagner and Brent Martini failed to finish just twice all year and won eight of the 12 rounds, five consecutive wins having been the best run of form ever by a 360 GT. But it was Risi who came closest to achieveing the models most extraordinary result, Kelleners, Lazzaro and Mowlem having missed out on overall victory at the Daytona 24 Hours by just one position. |
