www.QV500.com - Ferrari Daytona Part 6: 365 GTB/4C Series III

Chassis 16363
Further developments were permitted in Group 4 for 1973, Ferrari producing another batch of five scratch built GTB/4C's and also upgrading several existing cars. Output was now 450bhp at 8500rpm thanks to another increase in compression. There were also hotter carbs and camshafts, new pistons, new connecting rods and a larger cold air pan. Handling was further improved with bigger anti-roll bars and adjustable Koni shocks. GTB/4C's were at last able to use improved brakes, Series III cars getting larger pads and increased ventilation. As with the first two batches, only five Series III Competizione's were produced by the Servizio Assistenza Clienti.
