Two special-bodied vehicles were built during production of the Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2, the first having been executed by Touring of Milan on chassis 0904 and named Flying Star II. Clearly still derived from the stock model (also designed by Touring), the Flying Star II wore a beautiful shooting break body with some innovative details. Shown at the Turin Salon during October 1966, it was never intended for production and remained a tantalising one-off. Today it must surely rank among the most desirable Lamborghini's ever. |
