The 1983 LM 004 used Lamborghini's by now well-proven underpinnings with a scratch built marine-derived seven-litre engine. A redesigned interior illustrated Lamborghini’s changing aspirations for the car - no longer was it intended as a military support vehicle, the LM was instead veering towards becoming a plaything for wealthy civilians. Countach-style seats were trimmed in leather, the dashboard and centre console having been thoroughly reworked whilst a telephone, stereo, air-con, fridge and cold water tap completed the innovative new concept.
