Harrington GT1 debut Following on from his high flying success in this years British GT Championship driving his GT3 Aston Martin, Guy Harrington was privileged to be invited to test the full blown Barwell Motorsport GT1 car at Silverstone last week.
Completing a full 50 laps Guy managed to set a series of competitive lap times and certainly impressed everone who was there including team boss Mark Lemmer. The G Force upgrade option costs just £115 on top of the standard kit price and is available now.
AJ tests our Bikecam The past few months have seen up and coming rider "AJ Hutchinson" help us test and develop our Goldstar Bikecam.
AJ from Co Kildare, R.O.I. races a Triumph Daytona 675 in the Michelin Young Challenge a one make series which visits 9 circuits across the UK. The good news is extensive onboard footage from AJ's bike is broadcast on by Sky Motors TV after every round using both our club and pro spec systems, lots of footage can also be found at www.ajhutchracing.com.

Phil Collins beats World Rally Champion Rally legend Phil Collins has emerged victories from a battle with 1995 world rally champion Colin McRae on this year Manx National rally. Phil who uses a Goldstar Rallycam system said “ It's was a fantastic result which I'm pleased to say was captured, for posterity, by the boy's at Goldstar. After all its not every day you beat a world champion” Phil's Ford Escort proudly displays Goldstar decals on the front spoiler.
Martin Stretton's new Goldstar livered March Raining European F2 champion Martin Stretton enters this year championship in a stunning new blue and yellow Goldstar liveried March 712. On its first outings at Hockenheim Martin said “The car looks great and I'm looking forward to making some more Hotlap DVD's”

Aston DBRS9s hat trick A hat trick of GT3 Astons run by Barwell Motorsport have all been fitted with our Racecam systems. The cars runs in both the FIA GT and British GT Championships and the drivers include MacHitski/Cocker, Drayson/Stretton, Alexandra/Needell.
Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 430 GT2 The GT2 Ferrari 430 of Chris Niarchos and Tim Mullens won both rounds of the British GT Championship recently at Brands Hatch. Phil Collins- Rally of the Lakes National Rally Champion Phil Collins used our "Rally Specification" single Racecam kit on his modified MK2 Escort recently when he won the Irish Rally of the Lakes. The Racecam kit connects to his Peltor intercom system so that he can record the pace notes of co- driver Enda Sherry, Enda's clear instructions are overlaid on the video footage. Historic GP Monaco At the recent above event we had no less that 10 customers running our Racecam systems in the F1 races including the race winner Martin Stretton in his fantastic 6 wheeled Tyrrell P-34. Many congratulations to them all on what was a spectacular weekend's motorsport.

Goldstar Racecam achieves F1 History In 1974 F1 racer Chris Amon designed is own F1 car “Amon F101”, the car was only entered into 3 GP's before the venture failed. Some 30 years later the car, having been fully restored by GP Masters boss Ron Maydon, returned to the race track. Driven by Ed McDonald of Vintage Race Car magazine and James Hanson of Speedmaster, Goldstar Racecam was honoured and excited to have been asked to capture this little bit of history on film- the first time any in car action been seen from the Amon F1.
World land speed record attempt We are delighted to be have been asked to provide Racecam support to the US 554 Racing Team who are trying to establish a brand new World land speed record in their modified 1929 Ford roadster . The plan is to beat the current record of 237 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats this August and we plan to capture this awesome moment using a single Racecam system . Wise words from Jenson Whilst at Brands Hatch recently working for In 2 Racing and Porsche UK look who John bumped into- F1 superstar Jenson Button. F1 Tyrell P34- 6 wheeler We recently fitted a Racecam to the rear wing of Martin Strettons F1 Tyrell for the TGP weekend at Estoril. The dry weather enabled us to capture some great full throttle action, unfortunately the heavens opened for the race itself. Martin Stretton wins F2 Trophy With his blistering pace Martin Stretton clinched the International Jochen Rindt F2 Trophy at Spa recently in his Goldstar Racecam liveried March 712. Goodwood RAC TT success This year we captured some very entertaining footage from inside the Ferrari 250 GTO which is owned by Nick Mason, race prepared by 10/10ths and driver by Stuart Graham and Mark Hales. In an exciting race Stuart and Mark finished a credible 8th overall against the more powerful Cobra's and Jaguar's.
Barron Racing
Pictured here at the recent Silverstone Historic meeting is Goldstar's very own John Dunham (left) and John Bosch (right) from Barron Racing. JB who recently finished 6th overall at La Mans was racing his fantastic Ferrari 312T in the F1- TGP races. The car is fitted with a switchable 2 camera system with one of the camera's focussed on JB's feet and pedals the other on the track ahead. Watching the speed and control of JB's "heel and toe-ing" can only be described as dancing at its very best. Ferrari 360 Challenge car We have just installed a 2 camera PIP (picture in picture) system in Alan Newton's awesome F360 and experienced the view first hand when he took us out for a few laps of Silverstone recently. This system is in addition to the single Racecam he runs in his MGB with his great mate Barrie "Wizzo" Williams. Thanks for the ride Alan.
We thought you might be interested to see this picture of Alan Prost turbo charged Renault capturing some in car footage prior to the French GP at Dijon in 1981. As you might expect it was taken off the car for qualifying and the race which he went onto win. The development of Racecams has certainly come on a long way since then.
